Apple... I got it!
Took the cheapest data plan which originally priced at SGD38/mth, but got 30% off every month. Well, another story in getting this 30% off, haha..
So Starhub is having this Multi-Mobile Saver promotion which allows you to enjoy 30% off subscription fee if 3 of you sign up together (maximum 1 re-contract), so basically I need 2 more people who were signing up new lines together with me. The process of finding took a while including asking friends and colleagues around. Then Silvy suggested me to find from forums, which I tried. So, I posted up this info in some forum like hardware zone and another one (can't remember the name). After a few days, someone who saw my post sms-ed me telling me he and his cousin were signing up. But I couldn't go on the day they intended to go because I haven't got my voucher, so they went ahead without me. I was still trusting God to provide, and few days after that someone contacted me telling that he wanted to sign up. So I asked Kotin whether she has decided (she was still doing research previously) and she said yes, she was ready to sign up. There it goes... that was Wednesday nite. I had to attend Financial Freedom Seminar on Thursday nite, CG on Friday nite, Faith's hen's nite on Saturday nite, Choir on Sunday and Iris' birthday after the 2nd service, so we made appointment to meet at Tampines Mall Starhub at 5.30pm. He's James, quite a nice guy :) So, I got the iPhone ^^
Btw, on Friday, the newspapers were telling news about the new generation of iphone, iphone 4GS (HD) going to be released soon, somewhere in June/July.. wakkss.. got confuse for a while whether or not to still take the iphone 3GS now. Asked around (including Tony, Barry, Bren), and actually still haven't decided when approaching Starhub, but since that guy has been waiting for me to sign up, didn't feel good to cancel lah... So, thinking that later when the new iphone first released, it will surely be more expensive whcih I may not be able to afford, and usually new release is cmmonly not so stabil, huh??! well, at least for electronics :)
Pheww... and I was telling myself this morning: No more big expense or shopping plss.. at least in this month, except the following:
1. Dress for Faith's wedding
2. Watches for Pa & Mi
3. Flight to Skw.
I must make sure also that during BBW in Malaysia, I don't shop :)
In the bus I was praying, and I thanked God for His grace that I can afford buying macbook n iphone. But I was asking God to help me that I will guard the resources that He's given to me well and wisely that I will only spend as necessary and don't become a spendthrift person :)
I think, there should be no more purchase of gadget (tertiary need) this year.

Single-Minded
And having realizing this, I guess my greatest need of life in my this point of life is: To be a single-minded christian, to focus on and pursuing that of the things of the Kingdom of God, things that really matter. Only then, my whole life will be changed. Direction will be there, excitement will be there, passion will be there. Forgive me, Lord, for my double-mindedness all these while, and please help me to train my eyes to focus on You and Your things only.
Matthew 622
"The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. 23But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
In it's original language, it's actually "if your eyes are single" (which is stated in KJV).
Another quote that I got from e sermon was:
"Not to have is alright, because I'd rather have it in God's time" [Edmund Chan]
Excited to listen to the next half of the sermon later on the way going home again...
Speak to me, Lord...

Our God is Far Greater
Exalted and holy, He reigns on His throne.
In infinite splendor He rules over all;
Yet He feeds the poor sparrows, and He knows when they fall.
He rides the wild heavens, He strides thro’ the seas; The high mountains tremble to hear His decrees.
His voice with great thunderings sounds from above;
But to His own children He whispers His love.
His power is great and will ever endure,
His wisdom is peaceable, gentle, and pure.
But greater than all these glories I see,
Is the glorious promise that He cares for me.”

Jesus, I will not quit!
I just wanna thaaank God for feeding me with so much grace, creating (or rather reviving) the confidence in me, not of myself, but of Him, of His love again this beginning of year. I believe that this is gonna mark my year-start and by God's grace continue running this year better than last year. Thaaank You, God...
I just realized that I've been so hopeless, shameful, discouraged, disappointed with myself, especially in my spiritual life, and of course that 'lost-ness' in life. I felt everything's just gone. Even the talents that I used to think as God-given to me were also gone as I disobeyed Him and His will again and again. I literally lost everything... lost confidence, lost direction, lost passion, almost loosing hope, then...
1. Ps Benny Ho's sermon on Sunday, 17 Jan 2010 (Hope for the Hopeless)
My hope is in the God of hope! Not in myself, not in my strength to please Him (that fails again and again), not even in my faith, but in Him! So, who am I to lose hope? Oh.. there's still hope for me.. to be spiritually revived again, to be used by Him again, to be drawn near to Him again. Yes, there's hope...
Romans 5:13
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow
with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Note: was supposed to tell Joy a deadline for me to answer her regarding being A&C leader after the service. I was almost wanting to say "No" right away, seeing how I'm doing as a Christian, seeing how my relationship with God had become. But after the sermon, I was so excited to see what God's going to do in my life this year that I changed my answer to "let's see how I'm improving in 3 months. Reason being, I don't want to lead out of myown emptiness"
2. Asher Tribe Gathering today, 29 Jan 2010 Exhortation by Tuck Leh
Watching the video below, when Derek was struggling with the pain, I really saw myself in it: hopeless, sin, strengthless, disappointed with myself, lonely, pain, lost... all were there. People are passing by and I was struggling, alone... I really felt myself not worthy of anything anymore. And then, when Derek got up and started running again, I found myself saying, "Yes Lord... I will not quit!" I want to continue running, and finish the race. And I know that my Father is running with me, giving me support and strength.
Note: About the role of leadership, I'm still not confident to myself as in whether I'm able to lead, what I can give etc. But I know, God's the One who's providing me with all those, and I came to know 1 thing: I want to do it. So how? hmm..
Yes! I really love the way God uses BBTC to bless me, to shape me. God.. I am now excited again to experience all that You're gonna do in my life. Help me Lord that this won't be just an overnight fire, but may this be something that stays in me that sustain my desire and excitement to seek You and grow in deeper knowledge of You.

You Can, because He Can
I know that You can do everything, And that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You. Job 42:2 NKJV
You can ask the Lord
because He will not give you a wrong answer.
You can wait upon the Lord
because His timing is always perfect.
You can trust in the Lord
because He makes no mistakes.
You can hope in the Lord
because He holds your future.
You can rest in the Lord
because He is in control of your life.
You can lean upon the Lord
because He is completely faithful.

A Blessing ^^
I went back to the photocopy machine, thinking that it sounds quite true which is unlikely to be any of those cheat scheme, I smiled and stunned in front of the photocopy machine for quite a while, haha... Now I feel I was very cute just now. I mean, well.. though it's not a thrilling amount, but I've never got such thing before! So, it was really a very exciting news for me, haha... And first thought come to my mind, "what a blessing from God to me", and I tried to recall which seed I sowed that caused this fruit, not sure (not much I have sowed, though)... but it's not so important. I just know that it's a blessing :) Thank You, God...
And now, I'm going to make a call to NETS :p

Moved to Bedok Reservoir ~ 12 Sep 2009
Saturday, alarm clock was set to 10.30am, but 9 something couldn't sleep any longer and decided to wake up before 10. Major packing and cleaning til 3 something I guess, and took shower then went to Jurong Point with Den, had a meal at Oldtown Coffee.
6pm, started moving the things using Pho's company's pick-up, helped by Ah Kok and Joshua (thank u bunch...), guess what.. 2 trip was needed, haha.. And thank be to God, that evening, they didn't have urgent work and was not raining, so God's favour to give us smooth moving.
Continued with unpacking the stuff til about 11.30pm, exhaused, stopped though haven't finished unpacking. Shower and prepared for DTC class the next morning.
What a exhausting day... aching all over e body... even now still hurt, haha...
And the feeling.. hmm.. yeah.. quite a funny n weird feeling, a feeling of "perpisahan/farewell", haha.. a feeling which is like just about to leave 'home' (true home with family back in Skw). That feeling of sad, blue, and homesick, haha.. even during the 2-day stay, the feeling was like "just arrived" to a new place, a new country, haha.. but this is within Singapore.. I wonder will I feel that way again tonite, hehe..
Oh ya.. I couldn't sleep! First night really had bad sleeping time, back from church continue unpacking n tidying up things, was very tired n sleepy so tried to have nap around 6pm, but still COULD NOT!! haizzz... why am I so fussy in sleeping? But thank God last nite finally slept though a bit hard in the beginning :)
Suppose to wake up at 6am this morning, but 'lai chuang' til 6.18am, showered and got out of house at about 6.40 with pho. Thank God again, while we were walking to bus stop, bus 506 was coming, we saw it and ran after it, so phewww... got to get into the bus.
Guess what, I arrived at bus stop at around 7.35, plus 10 minutes walk, 7.45 reached office.. haha... broke my record.. I AM EARLY!! ^^
And what I love best about this moving? except the nice Bedok Reservoir Park view from bedroom n living room, I now can have myown desk, though not very comfortable.. but you know.. a "myown" place to put myown stuffs, books etc and to just do whatever I want to do :)
Thank You, my God... for everything... for being with us.. guiding us.. providing us with all we need... for being such a wonderful God...
Next, browse for new jobbb... yeah.. by God's grace...
Love You, Abba...

Rest for the Weary

Fashion Photographer Captures Jesus in 21st Century
By Michelle A. Vu
Christian Post Reporter
Thu, Sep, 10 2009 02:00 AM PT
A veteran fashion photographer who is used to having his works featured in Vogue, GQ and Elle, will release his most “rewarding” collection – “Journeys with the Messiah” – on Friday, the eighth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
"I was in New York prepping for a photo shoot a week after 9/11 and saw many people searching for something," recalled Michael Belk, who created the Jesus photo collection out of his Christian faith. "Similar to 9/11, I think many Americans don't know where to turn in the midst of the current worldwide financial crisis.”
Belk says he hopes his “Journeys With the Messiah” collection will help people who are anxious and looking for answers to find peace by knowing there is someone to turn to.
The photos are a retelling of the stories of 1st-century Jesus to a 21st-century audience. Included in the collection are photos of Jesus with Nazis, prostitutes, Ferraris and motorcycles, as well as Wall Street executives and high rollers that creatively address modern-day social problems such as genocide, materialism, addiction, poverty, and hypocrisy.
In the photo entitled “The Second Mile,” Jesus is shown walking and talking alongside a Nazi soldier. The messiah is carrying the soldier’s backpack as well as his gun.
“Jesus’ teachings on this subject (forgiveness) were revolutionary: ‘Love your enemies as yourself. Pray for those who persecute you. Forgive people seventy times seven.’ Jesus reminds us that, just as God forgives us, we are expected to do the same for others,” wrote Belk in the accompanying journal entry for the photo.
Each of Belk’s images is accompanied by a written journal entry of a 21st-century take on a 1st-century story or parable.
In another photo, “Rest for the Weary,” a man in a suit and tie is shown collapsed on the steps of a building. His head rests on Jesus’ lap while his suitcase is opened with papers scattered about.
“I am writing this in March of 2009 while the world is in a serious economic upheaval,” Belk’s journal reads. “Fortunes have been lost, retirement incomes are gone, and the basic necessities have become a struggle for man.”
But then he writes, “In truth, we assign too much importance to issues that, in the end, will be of non consequence. Have you ever heard of a man on his deathbed who asked to see his stock portfolio one more time? Could the time we spend worrying be better spent in quiet, soothing fellowship with the One who created it all and promises more?”
The Christian photographer reminds the reader Jesus said not to worry but to “seek His Kingdom first” and God will take care of our needs. Also, Jesus invited those who are weary and burdened to find rest in Him.
“Maybe we should give it a try,” Belk suggested.
One of the aims of the photo collection, the 61-year-old photographer said, was to strip away the “religion” part of Christianity that has turned so many people away, and share the core message of who Jesus was and what He taught.
Belk believes the photos carry messages that God wants to say to people in the world struggling with countless problems right now.
In 2008, despite the economic downturn, Belk took time off of fashion photography and spent his own money to finance the project that took more than a year and a half to complete. The project cost $600,000.
Pre-production took 10 months and more than 100 extras were needed. An Italian actor played Jesus and a production company from Rome and a film crew from the U.S. were hired.
Belk directed what he calls “the most grueling, but most rewarding shoot” of his career.
All of the photos were shot in Matera, Italy (filming location for “The Passion of the Christ”).
The fashion photographer-turned-Jesus’ camera man is considering to exhibit the collection worldwide in counterintuitive venues such as mass transit stations, corporate headquarters and projections onto urban buildings. He also hopes the images will be used in a greeting card line and small group curriculum.
Limited edition photographs, posters, 108-page photography book, DVD, and screensavers and wallpapers are available for sale. Proceeds from the sale of the photos will fund the worldwide exhibit tour.

A blessed 'Pastors' Kid'
Just now I called them again just to check mum's condition and to chit chat. Mum told me that she's got almost a RM1000 discount from Dr. Goh Kian Hua who did her operation, this is also the Doctor who operated Pa 2 years ago for his cyst and gave discount from his Doctor fee also. And guess what Mum told me.. Mum did a cosmetic surgery in Alor Setar, and when she arrived Kch, not knowing who else to turn to ask for help to take out the thread, she went to look for Dr. Goh. Dr. Goh did it for her. I mean, man... he's a great surgeon! I told Mum, "wah.. nyi an thai liap uu.." haha... And also, for all of Pa n Mi's eyes medication n consultation, Dr. Teo was the one who always take care of that with super cheap price... God... it's just... ah... indescribable...
This is really what Mum reaps by the seed of love, sincerety, generousity in painstakingly and self-less-ly bringing people to Kuching for their medical needs that Mum's sowed.
Oh God... I am just soo touched and in awe of your marvelous and great work in Your servants' life. God... I want to be like them... Ooopss.. I know, this will mean, there'll be a lot of seeds that You'll require me to sow n some of them would be pretty unpleasant.. but... yeah... I want, God... ^^

Amy, Evian and Cindy visit
Just a little bit of background. Amy, Evian, Cindy and I, we actually knew each other through the long closed down SOP BBS forum. Since, we still kept in touch via email n messenger once in a while. Amy and Evian the Hongkies, Cindy the Malaysian, and I the Indonesian. Never expected that we would actually meet face to face :)
Last year, Cindy came to attend SOP event and stayed in my room. That's how we for the first time met face to face.
This year, Cindy and I cancelled our plan of going to HK for SOP Asia Tour this year. Instead, we asked Amy why not she come, and she really considered that. Not only that, when I asked her to ask Evian whether she wanted to join, Evian also considered.. what a 'wow'!
And... it really happened. They came!
And I didn't expect that I would enjoy and had as much fun as I did. It had really become a wonderful memory for me. Started with the preparation of their itenary, the excitements, etc... and all the fun n laughter that they brought in our midst. I really thank God for them and for that days. They really brightened up my days. And how God lead all our activities, gave us good weather, and especially this amazing n unique friendship, really made me 'gan dong' (terharu). Thank You, Father... for such a sweet n wonderful melody that You've added up into this song of my life...
And here's some of the moments:

An 'an wei' from God...
8pm arrived there, couldn't find Jacinta, so I walked out and trying to call. Then saw Jacinta approacing. And... of my surprise, there she brought a nice basket containing a pack of bread, jam, 2 bottles of orange juice and a pack of instant coffee coconut latte. "This is for you, as an encouragement, coz you are so stress lately". Awww... it's the sweetest gift I've ever had...
Not only this, but the whole meeting and conversation tonite had really blessed n encouraged me so much. Thank You, God.. for reminding me that I'm so blessed. I really feel that I'm such a blessed and xing fu person. Feel so encouraged and cheered up. What a blessing, encouraging and cheering up meeting, listening to all positive blessings stuff really make my day different and cast away all my tiredness.. I could really feel that it's a comfort / 'an wei' directly from God... Felt sooo touched and gan dong, but more to God. Thank You, my precious God... thank you, Jac...

How can I not to give thanks?
Aman dan sejahtera, walau di tengah badai
Ingin 'ku s'lalu bersama rasakan keindahan
Arti kehadiran-Mu Tuhan...
2 days ago (19/05) was exactly 2 months since I started working in Value Plus - a very unexpected happening, but I truly know that it was not by coincidence at all, but was arranged in such a way by my Creator, my Planner - ending all those ~desperation, exhausting, never-ending unclaritiness, frustration, and so on...~ moments. Well... still desiring to go somewhere else, though (such a 'never-satisfied' me, huh? Hehe...). Don't know why I always wish I could go overseas(well.. though now I'm oversea,haha... I mean.. to western country - USA... my dream!!! haha...); but in time being, I know, God has His very purpose on putting me here NOW. So, what I know is just: I am here NOW, by God's grace, may I fulfill the purpose He assigns me to be here now. In future, where am I gonna be, what am I gonna do, I know it's all already in Your 'organizer', Lord, but... may I...?? ;p
Upon arrival, grace upon grace have I received, that really make me say: "How can I not give thanks?" After having opportunity to serve Papa during his sickness (I really cherish this "opportunity" - I call it), and spending sometimes (though just 1 week) at home, then on 17/03 (Saturday), I left Singkawang to Kuching. I can call it a miracle that after having travel-sickness, I didn't get bad my "pasca-mabok" as I usually had. God knows that I need health :) Arriving at Pleasant Court, Ming Ngi and Suh Chee picked me up to their house, as Su Fen was not in Kuching at that time. I had a good rest there (well... with quite a bad homesick) and stayed overnite there. The next day, they even sent me for shopping and paid for my daily needs. Oh God... what a precious gift from You they are. Until now, they are one of those angels around me, providing me with care, laughter, encouragement, and accompaniment.
After that, moved to Pleasant Court, staying with Su Fen, a good sister of mine, don't know how to describe, but all this while, she and Julian have been so helpful in almost every area of my needs, especially in the beginning of my days in Value Plus. Had great time while staying there for 1 month, that when I moved out, missed her badly (in fact, we still meet each other everyday in office, haha...). Well... may be because of her care which is more of a sister' care rather than a friend-care, the chit-chat we had all the time (sorry for causing your late sleep, sis...), the heart-stories, family stories, miss you, jie jie... (hahaha... that's how I call her lately)
Just on that very nite, the nite before I was suppose to start my first day in Value Plus, had a very stressing time as well, knowing that the contract would be 2 years. Well... write about this later, another story :)
Andy, Silvy, Su Fen of course, and other colleaques who are really more than friendly, helpful, and nice, were one of the mean that God used to convince me to stay, I think. Even until now, I really give thanks for them.
Even then, Thai ce (Yennie) invited me to stay in her house. Well, I do pay (though she at first resisted it), but it's still far far cheaper than if I am to rent a place. Besides, I can go to work with them.
Oh God, what can these all be, if it's not Your grace, and blessings, and arrangement?
My thousand tongues won't be enough to thank You, my precious Father....

After a Long Journey
That's all I can say. Yeah... after long long journey, now i'm back to here. God's been guiding and arranging in such a way that this is where i'm suppose to be - at least for now-. Quite a long story also, why i eventually end up here. There'll be stories to come ^^ Since Dad was sick a month ago, haven't been bloging till now. But it was really a privilege and opportunity from God for me to serve Papa while he was sick, to let him know that i really love him.
Just complete 1 week being in Value Plus. Well, the nite before, and the first day working was really a hard time that again, made me think "am i making a rite decision?" But again, God guided in such a way that i know "Yes, it is.." I don't know what about days, months, years to come. But i just know, when i'm given today, then i'll just walk for today path. The rest, God's in control. Thank You Lord... What a special privilege being your child.\
Today, had quite a bad homesick. Now having headache as well, and felt like having influenza.
Mum came on Friday, taking people to see doctor and preach this morning. then left on 4pm in the afternoon. came home, alone, so lonely.. then with a bit headache and tired, went to sleep, but couldn't sleep well also... Missing u..dad and mum....
Tomorrow might be assigned with fault reports.. feel a bit nervous and scared, but Wo kao zhe na jia gei wo li liang de, fan shi dou neng zuo.... Yes... Zhu Ni gen wo zhou, wo hai pa shen me na??
at night his song is with me — a prayer to the God of my life.
(Psalm 42:8)
